In this episode, we cover the MarCon convention and the new sets news. Basically this is one of our "update" podcasts just to keep you folks informed of what is happening here at the chaotic clanhold.

Rather than write an article on these legends and stories I prefer to use the modern equivelent of the bards of Grandilar. So, take a seat, light up a pipe, sip a beer, and listen to the story by going to our Libsyn Episode Feed and hearing it for yourself. Of course, you can also sign up for the podcast in Itunes and have the bard come to you. Either way works just fine.

GGP-011. This time we have something a little unusual.

I want to start by saying that the sound quality of the bulk of this one is poor. I know it, and I think you will understand better as you listen.

This started as a "Homework" assignment from Sue to her players. She wanted to know what the characters were doing and learning in there off time. I choose to do mine as a recording. She also got e-mail stories, hard copy printed and even a hand written story. Everyone got one done. We were all surprised at ourselves. We also got 25 exp each. Handy, That.

Since I have not had time to do a proper podcast lately I figured, why not, and here it is.

We have a new Podcast at long last. This one covers the new Delethine cast race that we have added to the Dragon Storm game. This race should give the gamemaster's something new to use as the focus of an evenings play and as an extra in most any situation.

It has been a while since the last Grandilar podcast. People have been asking for "scripts" of these podcasts. It turns out that writing a podcast is not what I do. Anyway, this one has no script, not even a note, just a podcast. This is podcast #6 and covers the Latent Shifters on Grandilar. The purpose is to give you a brief reason why we did the them. We also added a bit of information on the blood in the general population, and why it has happened. Enjoy!

Karbon's question was a piece I did as a fun piece. This character has a lot of fun to play, and he has been through a lot of "stuff". As a non-shifter he has been wondering, especially after getting his new Old Wounds, why he is doing this Valarian thing. As I considered what he should be spending his points on and I decided that his reason for being here is that he has a bloodline. I know its not the smart add at this point, but what difference does that make. Anyway, enjoy it.

This episode of the Grandilar game podcast is an introduction to Dragon Storm.
It is how I would introduce Dragon Storm at a convention to new players, if I had the time. Unfortunately we have only a couple of minutes and I don't think we get everything across that I would like too.

Our fantasy game is based in a world where most information is passed verbally through bards, bar tenders, priestesses and conversations overheard on corners of villages. I think that this, and the coming tutorial podcasts will simulate some of this environment.

I have added an picture slideshow to this episode which shows some of the Dragon Storm cards.

Todays podcast is a set of Bedtime Stories that those who grew up in an Elethay household would have heard as a youth. These are the types of stories that would have helped create a characters attitude towards the world of Grandilar.

Some years ago I had read some old Dakota stories and they had not made a lost of sense to me at the time. Recently I had a chance to hear the same stories spoken. I realized as I listened that they made perfect sense. Those stories were intended to be heard by an audience. That made me think about our fantasy role-playing worlds. Our characters would have grown up in a spoken world, reading would be for the elite and the historians, life would have been heard.

That makes me look at the tools we have for role-playing and to want to use these podcasts to enhance the feeling of the worlds our characters inhabit. For now, have a good time gaming and enjoy the podcast. If you have any questions or suggestions, drop me an e-mail.

This is the first Grandilar Game Podcast. The prior game podcast for Dragon Storm, the Dragon Storm Podcast has gone into hiatus.
In this episode we will take a look at the Line-of-Sight rules for Dragon Storm. These same ideas can be used in many role-playing games. We also have a Grandilar News section warning Valarians about Nytoc Versai, a particularly nasty assassin.
